Flex Connector for Burley Bike Trailer Hitch System

The ODIER Bike Trailer Hitch is a durable and solid stainless steel hitch designed for Burley trailers. It is compatible with disc brake and full suspension bikes, and can be used with QR axles and solid axles up to 12mm (OD=0.48in). For 12mm Thru-Axles, Burley's adapted Thru-Axle with external threading is required for the installation of the axle-mounted hitch.

To install the hitch, follow these steps: 1. Open the quick release lever, remove the nut and spring from the opposite side, hold the lever and pull the axle skewer with spring out, and completely remove the skewer while leaving the wheel in place. 2. Slide the hitch onto the skewer, ensuring that the wide end of the spring faces out and touches the lever, and the bell of the hitch faces out. 3. Insert the end of the skewer through the wheel hub, replace the spring (wide end out!) over the end of the skewer, and then replace the nut. 4. Adjust the hitch to a right angle, tighten the nut by hand, and clamp the lever. Connect the trailer with the coupler by a Q/R pin.

If upgrading from a Classic Hitch to the Steel Hitch, a Flex Connector (not included) will also be required. The Flex Connector is available in both round and square tow arm versions, depending on your trailer's tow arm tube size. The Flex Connector should be replaced every 2 years, or if it has become too hard and non-flexible.

It is important to ensure that all accessories are connected correctly before towing the trailer. Additionally, the hitch is not compatible with Breezer-style dropouts.
